Easy trick to find a forgotten password

For example, let's say you forget one of your passwords and you can't log in to the account from any other device than the one it's stored on, because when the site auto-populates your password, it only shows those little dots or stars. So at some point, you're probably going to have to change the password -- which is so annoying considering how difficult it is to keep up with all the password requirements of letters, numbers, symbols, uppercase, lowercase, fingerprint -- whatever.

But next time you find yourself in this situation, there's actually a very easy solution!

When you go to the login page where your password is stored, just right-click on the bar/box with the hidden password (string of dots, stars etc.) and choose "inspect" or "inspect element" from the drop-down menu. The page will pull up a bunch of jumbled code, but one line will be highlighted -- that's where you'll see "type=password." Then all you have to do is replace "password" with "text" and it will display your password!
