New stats from Texas A&M Transportation Institute and Inrix, a leading-provider of traffic information, list the worst cities for traffic and the amount of hours residents spend on the road battling the gridlock. The list is tallied based on morning and evening rush hour numbers.

- Washington D.C. – 82 hours
- Los Angeles – 80 hours
- San Francisco – 78 hours
- New York – 74 hours
- Boston – 64 hours
- Seattle – 63 hours
- Chicago – 61 hours
- Houston – 61 hours
- Dallas-Forth Worth – 53 hours
- Atlanta – 52 hours
- Detroit – 52 hours
- Miami – 52 hours
