Lawsuit: Popular brand of almond milk contains almost no almonds

False advertising is the claim being made in a lawsuit brought up against the most popular brand of almond milk.

The label on the Blue Diamond carton says ‘Made with real almonds,’ which is true, but the lawsuit is over the amount of almonds.

Food Navigator reported almonds account for only 2 percent of the product. The rest is apparently water, sugar sunflower lecithin and a thickener.

Some reports said the company wastes water growing the almonds in the first place, now they add an accusation of deception.
